It's really funny how things can be so dead easy, that we just have to complicate it. Not just that, but make things almost impossible to understand. So, what is this about then... My last post, I said that I would publish my next song in my next post. This is my next post, and there are no songs in here.... But sit back and relax.... If we go back in time... all the way to the post before my last post, the post before this one.... yes, that's right, the post where I said I would publish my newest song. Funny thing.... my newest post has already been posted, and I just saw it just now... To make things a bit easyer again....

All I ever wanted was a place to write about whatever comes to mind. Not only that, but kind of let the world know whats going on. So, since I registered at Blogcatalog, there har been some visitors from there. I did say this blog would also be about music, DJ'ing, gadgets and stuff... And I'm sorry to tell that I haven't done all this yet.

So far I've written a little about music and of my own releases. I think it's time for a little change. It's time to expand the topics a bit. Of Course I will continue to write about my own productions in here. By the way, you know that all my productions are labeled "jamlover Productions"? So, what is new? What is there to tell?

I've just finished my logo. You see it over to the right. Isn't it cool? It's drawn by hand, and then digitized and further manipulated on my computer.

I have started experimenting with screen capture to video. So, what does this mean then? First of all it means that I have planned some tutorials, kind of instructions video clips, that could be really useful. So, the idea is to show you how to some neat tricks when it comes to audio/video manipulating. Nothing is finished just yet, and this is still a working idea, so if you have any input at all, please write a comment.

I've also started creating some cool images using some really cool pc software. I will show you a bit later, and I really have to tell you, it's just so cool!

I haven't published my newest song in here just yet, so stay tuned, that will be my next post!

Electric Boogie

It's time to get a little electric! This one is a bit trancey, with some nice layers of acid lines, that are kept at a moderate level. It's got kind of an epic feel to it, and you probably will understand what I'm talking about it, as soon as you get into the groove. The groove is the main part of this song, hence the name, Electric boogie. Listen and enjoy, and keep the comments coming. I'd love to read your response. Have fun! :)

I've just started the process of selecting the tracks for my new mix. This one will be a little more disco, with some nice twisted touches, so keep your eyes open, and make sure to check back. I promise you, it'll take you away completely.

I have to admit, it is fun. This competition that I'm participating in, it is real fun to see how many people that actually voted. It's been said that over 30 000 have seen the dj contest page, it's where you find all the mixes in the Spin Off competition. I just counted the votes, and a total of 2413 votes has been given to the mixes. That's great.

This means 8% of the people viewing the tracks, have decided to vote. I guess we have to sit tight for the next couple of days, to see the results. Remember, the vote closes pretty soon, so if you haven't voted yet, then I urge you to do so as soon as possible.

There are three lucky dj's who where the first to cross the 100 vote line. There are a lot of people voting just for them. Funny thing though, not everything is as smooth as silk. If you go to the forum pages at esnips, and check out the dj community, you'll get a closer look. There is quite the discussion going on about the vote. Today, I present for you, the first three mixes that crossed the 100 vote line, and also being one of the most debated mixes, well, have a listen, and join the fun!

We are three dj's that is pretty close when it comes to the voting.
We are from 16 to 21 votes. That's how it has been from the start. Wonder if it'll stay like that for the entire vote? All of these three mixes has been considered a possible winner from several of the eSnips members. So I guess we have to wait for the finish line to see the results. Man, it's so exciting. At the moment there are a few comments about the voting system. The best dj isn't the one getting the votes. Well, this is entirely up to you to decide. Do you vote for the best looking dj? The sexiest? The dj with the mix you liked the most? Or the dj you think represent the best skills? Within the votes, I think all of these categories is found. By that, I mean that some vote because they think the dj is hot, sexy etc. Some are looking for the best talented one. Still, it's a long time to go, until the winner is announced Friday 22nd of June. In the meantime listen to the brothers, here they are:

Yes I'm talking about the DJ Spin Off Contest. It's really moving. There still is over a week left, before the voting closes, and so far there are 874 counted votes. This is really cool. That means people really enjoy the mixes. As I said in an earlier post, there are 97 mixes in this contest. Myself have so far collected 19 votes, which I think is great. That means, there are somebody out there who likes my mix. I think the top track so far has over 70 votes, but still, anything can happen.
If you read this, and haven't voted yet, then hurry up. Do what you are supposed to do.....VOTE! :)

There seems to be close to a hundred dj's entering the Spin Off, which is great. I've listened to some of the tracks, and so far there have been a few mixes that really stands out. I have to get back to this, when all is ready. Even as I write this post, the mixes are being uploaded to the voting page. That means, it's time to make a very important decision. To Whom will I cast a vote?

Y0u really don't have to decide right away. You can listen to all the tracks, then decide. The voting closes in a few days. I'll come back with more details in another post. Yes, it's 6 days left before the voting begins. If you don't understand, just calm down. I'm talking about the eSnips DJ Spin Off. At the moment, all the dj's are uploading their mixes they to this friendly competition. What I like you to do, is as soon as you can, after the 10th of june, just vote. Listen to the tracks, and vote. Vote for your favorite or vote for me. After all your favorite is my submission, isn't it? Yes, of course it is :)

That's the name for my new dj mix session, just uploaded.

This is a session with some really cool music. There's a lot of energy and massive bass. Then you throw in a bit of funk, and the party is started for sure! 16 Tracks of pure fun! It's well placed in my twisted mood these days, but still remembering those cool disco elements. I hope you enjoy my selection of tracks in this mix session, and as allways, I only play Live! :)

Have you prepared your dark side?

The darker side of things are always interesting. It gives depth and perspective to what we feel as great. And this is the very soul of my newest project. This is something for you who likes it a bit on the dark side. It's not that fast, but real heavy! As soon as you get into the groove, you're hooked. And when those beautiful vocings of jojo appears, then the magic starts. This is something on the twisted side, and hopefully you find it equally tasty. This is really supposed to be heard at max volume, so make sure you're speakers are warmed up properly.

Other important facts:

This fall into one of two categories, which also means this song definetly ain't for everyone. Either you like it, or you don't.... or maybe it just takes some time getting used to.

I started this track after I heard the vocals. It really got my creativity movin', so this was one project, that was pure fun making. I hope you enjoy this one. Who knows where the next mix will end up. At the moment I'm really enjoying a kind of twisted reality.

That might be a strange title, since it's clearly not morning while I'm writing this. I have started out a new project, well, it's actually been active for some time, but I have never really gotten anywhere with it. So a few days ago, I decided to publish it online, just to let everybody have a preview on what I've been working on for some time.

Project name is: Twisted jelly on mars.
I know, again I've come up with another strange title. I'm a sucker for that I suppose. By the way, If you like to listen to it, just go ahead and click on the link above.

So, now you got an idea of what this project is about. As you can hear, it's not finished. It stops really sudden, and that's how much I have done with this track. I haven't really decided what to do next, or if I will continue the song.... depends of what my creativity wants me to do.

Welcome to my latest work. It's still in working progress, but it set on hold at the moment. This started out as a kind of strange song, but still I had an idea I wanted to try out. And I've done some serous changes, since the first take. The result, I'm glad to present for you here.

So remember, changes might be made, before the final stage is landed, but enough of that for now.

Piracy kills music....

Oh Really? Can it be truè? Or is it just a fag joke from some lame office nerds, complaining about not enough dough? hmmm.... let us think about this one for a while....
Who is the person who commits piracy.... I would guess a pirate....right? Okay... so far, so good. Have YOU ever seen a pirate go completely mad and uses his cannon to fire at your mp3 collection?? Well... have you? Not even in a very drunken condition? I thought so.

Stop that lying. Pirates steal ships and money....and they don't have the habit of killing musicians...since mp3 files don't create themself, I guess they need a tiny bit of help from the creator of the song.... and for those of you who hate loud music.... support the pirates, becuase if this statement is true, then all music will be killed. And then you people get to enjoy "the silence" :)

and in the afternoon, it gets dark. Isn't that strange. As normal it can be, this post will never be any where near beeing serious. Do you know that, oh...this is not a comercial or anything, but I really like Pepsi Max... I think it's the best soda you can get. But, that's just me. You know, I'm still figuring this blog out. I really want it to look the best, so still have som etuning to do.
